Learning Enrichment

Having been involved in advising government and private sector suppliers in the education sector, we have become aware of an opportunity to help schools “enrich” the learning experience for children and young people. As such, we are considering setting up an enrichment service to help schools and teachers to access and provide enrichment experiences to enhance teaching and learning. These will cover three types of experiences or resources namely:

  • Trips, either locally, within the UK or European continent

  • Facilitators and experts, who can come to schools, or be accessed via video links and who can add a dimension to the experience either with arts, sports and business specialisms

  • Digital content, which can be accessed via the internet, and can be either freely available or require some form of payment

We recognise that schools already use these kinds of resources, but there are barriers which can make them difficult to use or can affect the quality of output. These barriers include: not knowing where to go, the administrative effort required in an already busy schedule and uncertainty around issues like health & safety.

Our proposed service will use a combination of a website and a helpline to support teachers in providing these kinds of enrichment experiences.

To help develop this, we would very much appreciate your views via the attached questionnaire. These will remain anonymous, and be used only in aggregate form to help us design the service.

For your interest, as you complete this questionnaire, you will also receive instant feedback on what others have said in the survey.

Thanks for your co-operation.
